It is January of 1981, and the wizarding world is in the middle of the woes of war. Death and destruction is everywhere. It gets worse everyday, and everyone can feel the tension rising with each passing day. Even the Muggles can feel that something is going terribly, terribly wrong, although none can quite put their finger on it, despite Muggle disappearances and coincidental, mysterious disasters.
The Order and Death Eaters, respectively, are fully blown, and each stretching beyond their means to recruit and thrive. The Order loses members at an alarmingly rapid rate, and the Death Eaters are gaining at an equally alarming rate. People are terrified and joining the Dark Side for no reason other than fear as the Pureblood Elitists try to take the forefront, the Death Eaters staying strong.
But the Order isn't as strong. Lily and James Potter's five month old son Harry has gone missing, right from the home of Sirius Black. The Order is clueless and astounded at the disappearance. Having no idea where the baby is, they have split Lily and James apart for their own safety. Lily has gone with Sirius, and James with Remus Lupin, as the Order scrambles to figure out what happened and why, in their desperate attempts to find the little boy. Members are sent out everyday to try to recover the missing boy, if they are not on their normal duties. But where on Earth has Pettigrew been during all of this?
The Death Eaters, however, have other plans. It is they who have baby Harry, alive and well, of course, but waiting to be used. Voldemort wants to take the Order out from the inside. To instill fear, one must hit the heart. Lily and James were the strongest duo in the Order, and had already defied him thrice. Their heart was their child, and if they were hurt, the Order would weaken by default. Harry's only reason for his survival thus far, as he is kept in the cold mansion headquarters, isolated from human contact, cared for solely by house elves.
The question is...who is right and who is wrong? Are Lily and James as strong as everyone thinks? Is everyone in the Order completely innocent in the disappearance of the baby, or does somebody know? How long will Harry last int he care of such cruel people? You will never know, unless you join the fathomless mind games.
