Welcome to Bayville, home of the Bayville Eagles.
...And New York's most concentrated population of teenage mutants.
Oh, you didn't know? Bayville is just like any other American suburb; parents go to work, students go to school, and the mutants? Well, no one knows they're actually there. They blend in just like everybody else.
Mid-August, it's been six months since Charles Xavier opened the Xavier Institute to the public, but the new members of the X-Men have only recently gotten used to life at the mansion and still have a lot to learn about their teammates, though most by now have discovered that wariness is a good trait around Kitty's muffins.
Professor Xavier, alongside mutants such as Storm and Wolverine, seek to teach these new students how to control their abilities and matriculate into human society. They accept any mutant, whether they be young students just discovering their powers like Shadowcat or blue-furred teleporters like Nightcrawler.
Their aim is to protect mutant and mankind, and their dream is peace and acceptance - for everyone.
Of course, if following the rules isn't really your style, perhaps you're better suited for the Brotherhood. Doing the bidding of a mysterious mutant terrorist known as Magneto, Mystique is busy recruiting students to her cause as well, competing with the Institute for the lives - and loyalty - of these young mutants. The Brotherhood takes a far more offensive and militaristic stance towards humans and the X-Men, and mutant superiority is widely believed amongst these individuals.
Similarly, these mutants have been settling in at the Boarding House, learning that leaving the dishes undone for two weeks while Mystique is away will only be more painful in the outcome than simply doing them before she returns. Mystique has been using her influence as Principal Darkholme of Bayville High to make the transitions smoother for troublemakers like speedster Quicksilver and the enormous Blob.
Lesser known than the Brotherhood, a secret to even the X-Men, are the elite Acolytes of Magneto, and with them Magneto may be planning even more than Mystique is aware of.
Humanity may not be aware that the mutants exist, but both mutant sides are preparing for the inevitable reckoning. And they're sure that when it comes, there'll be trouble.
The only question is, how will you prepare?
Join the X-Men on their campaign for peace?
Attempt to overthrow the humans in a genetic war?
Or will you remain neutral until the time comes to choose?
Infinite Evolution is an advanced X-Men: Evolution rpg. We are currently accepting canons and original characters. Our story starts after the season one episode, Grim Reminder, just before the season one two-part finale, The Cauldron I & II.
